Sara Glesne is an attorney licensed in Minnesota. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Sara graduated summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Before law school, Sara began working in immigration in 2017 as a legal assistant with a diverse caseload including asylum, U Visas, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, VAWA, cancellation of removal, and bond. She clerked at Ojala-Barbour Law Firm during law school. As a law student, Sara also served as a legal intern at the Fort Snelling Immigration Court, where she worked directly with Immigration Judges and other court staff to support fair adjudication of respondents’ removal proceedings.

During law school, Sara volunteered for over 150 hours helping community members through Mitchell Hamline’s Self-Help Clinic and Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid’s Naturalization Screening Project. She served as editor-in-chief of Volume 50 of the Mitchell Hamline Law Review, and her student note on the role of prosecutorial discretion in removal proceedings was published in Volume 49.

Before joining Ojala-Barbour Law Firm in 2025, Sara served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Tracy M. Smith at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. In addition to learning about Minnesota criminal and civil law, clerking taught Sara the value of clear legal writing and honesty when presenting the facts of a case. She applies these lessons to advocating on behalf of noncitizens and their families.

Sara was born and raised in Minneapolis and is a proud Minnesotan who enjoys welcoming others to her state. Her hobbies include gardening, cycling, and attending live music. She is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. Sara represents clients in removal proceedings, appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals, and family-based and humanitarian immigration matters before administrative agencies.
